The name
The name is the standard the site holds itself to. Three traditions say the same thing about getting good, and all three are load-bearing here.
01Korea — the word
In Korean, a gosu (고수) is a master of their craft — the player whose skill ends the argument.
The word was earned in Korea's arcades and esports halls long before it reached every lobby in the world. It was never a rank you could claim for yourself; it was a reputation the record proved. That record is the thing we keep.
02Greece — the climb
The Greeks put victory on a mountain and made the climb the point.
Nike — victory herself — kept company with the gods on Olympus, and you did not meet her standing still. A ranked ladder is the same myth with patch notes: Bronze is base camp, every tier above it is thinner air, and ascent is measured match by match.
03Japan — the practice
In Japan, mastery is a daily practice — the shokunin’s devotion, sharpened by kaizen, one match at a time.
A craftsman does not grind; they refine. One cleaner rotation, one earlier fight taken, one more percent on your headshot rate. Improvement that small is invisible in the moment — it only shows up in a history long enough to hold it.

Anything already past the official API’s 14-day window is unrecoverable — by us or by anyone else. An archive can only keep the matches it was there for, which is why the day you start is the day it starts.
PUBG deletes your match history after 14 days. We don’t.

The founders set
Link a PUBG account while the beta is open and both attach to your profile permanently. They are not for sale, no plan unlocks them afterwards, and the code that grants them checks exactly one thing: that you were here for the beta.
The Discord is where the roadmap gets argued over and beta bugs get fixed in the open. Sign-in is through Discord too — one account for both.
The archive can only record matches it sees. Link a profile now and it starts with your very next drop. Wait a fortnight and that fortnight is simply missing — there is no version of this where it comes back.
